Admissions at Thapar University are both merit and entrance based. The selection criteria varies depending on the programme chosen. Certain courses like BTech are entrance based with the university accepting JEE MAIN scores for the same while certain courses like MSc, MCA etc. are merit based. The university accepts Class 12 scores for merit based admissions.
