Hello, Kolhapur, this is the place that is famous in Maharashtra for folk music, folk cinema, arts etc. Since ages. In fact in olden days, majority of Marathi Cinemas were produced here. This necessitated requirement of designers of sets, interior, clothing, textiles etc. Hence, no wonder that Kalaprabodhini decided to have their institute of design in this city.
