Does LPU gives any concession to poor students?

Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship Scheme to students on various parameters. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Students. Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories: Eligibility Qualification (for example 10+2 for Under graduate Programmes and graduation for PG Programmes) LPUNEST (LPU National Entrance & Scholarship Test) Certain National Level Tests (like JEE Main NEET UCEED CAT MAT GATE GPAT etc. ) Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service and Bravery Awards Special Scholarships and Fee Concessions: Fee Concession for Defence and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependants, Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board, Scholarship for Orphan Applicants and Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability. (Scholarship brackets and Phases mentioned below are not applicable for this Scholarship category) With a view to facilitate access to higher education to persons who belong to specific category and whose annual family income is below a certain limit, LPU offers a financial aid. An applicant who belong to any of the categories covered under the scheme I. e. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and special categories that includes Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student. Any applicant whose annual family income is less than Rs. 5 Lacs will be considered as a person from economically weaker section of the society. Consolidated annual income of all the earning members in the family. That shall also include income from all sources I. e. salary, agriculture, business/ profession, rent or other sources for the financial year prior to the year of application (I. e. for admission in 2021-22, the income from April 2020 to March 2021 will be considered). Income Certificate issued from a Competent Authority in the State/UT Government is required in respect of the parent/ guardian of an applicant in all the categories or subcategories (computerised income Certificate issued by Sewa Kendra will be preferred). In case, an applicant is minor (less than 18 years), the affidavit to be countersigned by the parent/ guardian, Now students can also submit applications who are eligible for scholarship on the basis of LPU NEST or eligibility qualification.

Marks based (for previous two qualifying Exams) Performance in other National Level Entrance test Performance in Sports, Performance in Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Services, Bravery Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Financial Aid for Defense /CAPF and their dependents Financial Aid for Orphan Candidates Financial Aid for Persons with certain disabilities LPUNEST Study Grant Minorities Transgender Non Traditional student Need Based-Financial Aid Single girl child Single Mother Orphan. LPU offers a special scholarship of Full Tuition fee waiver to Indian resident orphan students whose both parents are dead. The university gives scholarships on the basis of a first come first serve basis to 10 applicants. The candidate having benchmark disability of more than 70% and/or Locomotor disability caused by spinal cord injury can avail the benefit of full programme fee waiver. However, the LPU committee scrutinises the case. LPU offers exclusive Scholarship schemes for Tibetan Students studying in CTA (Central Tibetan Administration) Schools and Students studying in different schools managed by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan where on the basis of test conducted in schools of the concerned organisation and/or recommendation of the concerned authority of the organisation, certain students may be offered full tuition fee waiver. Hi, Yes, of course. LPU believes that money should not be a hindrance to quality education. LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPU NEST Sports, Defence, need-based scholarship, cultural, EWS, social service, and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The best thing is if you get the scholarship, the tuition fees after getting a scholarship will be applicable every semester except a few types of scholarships. Thanks.

LPU always tried to help & support the student in all respect so that student will not face any difficulty in taking higher education from this Globally Renowned University. LPU do very recently augmented its scholarship benefit to students & introduced Scholarship to special categories that include Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Scholarship, Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student etc. Holistic objective of the Scheme: To provide financial assistance to students who need support for pursuing their higher education and to increase attainment and enhance their employability An applicant who is not availing any other scholarship/ grant offered by the university or Government or any other body (Public or Private) can apply for the benefits under the scheme Benefits under the scheme: The benefits of 30% scholarship on programme fee as financial aid will be awarded to selected applicants. I am an alumni of LPU and I have the knowledge about this LPU does provide many scholarships to students like Board topper, Defence personal dependant, Sports personal, Disabled personal, Orphans, and scholarship based on marks in qualifying exams or based on LPU NEST and so on. LPU does not provide any concession to poor students. But LPU provides the loan letter so that student can get a loan for their tuition fee so that they can complete their study and pay later on. Students get different scholarships as per their performances in the academic as well as in other activities. The scholarship is also available on the basis of: Percentage in Qualifying Exam Performance or Rank in National Level Test Percentage in Sports, R&D, Co-curricular Activities (CCA), Social Services and National Bravery Award Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Fee Concession for Defense, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependents.
