Thapar University admission to the BTech course is a two-way process, one is entrance-based and another is merit-based. Interested candidates can apply for TIET BTech admission either way. Thapar University's 50% of seats will be filled on the basis of JEE Main scores and the rest 50% is based on the marks secured in the Class 12 examination. The minimum eligibility criteria is different for both entrance and merit-based admission. TIET is currently accepting applications for the BE/ BTech courses, interested candidates must visit the official website of TIET to apply online.

Admission to the B.Tech programme at Thapar University is determined by two factors: entrance nad merit. Either way, interested applicants can apply for admission to the TIET B.Tech program. 50% of the seats at Thapar University will be filled based on JEE Mian results, and the remaining 50% will be determined by the grades earned in the class 12 exam. There are differences in the minimum requirements for entrance and merit-based admission.

Applicants for the B.E/B.Tech programs are now being accepted by TIET; interested students should visit their official website to submit an online applicantion.

TIET (Thapar Institute) generally has one of the strongest private-university placement records in North India. For BTech, top branches like CSE, COE, ENC see high placement rates, with many students getting multiple offers. Companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Deloitte, and Zscaler hire regularly, and internships are solid too.

If you're comparing private universities, Thapar's placement ecosystem is definitely above average, mainly because of its industry ties and project-driven culture.
