How is the hostel and food in LPU?

LPU focuses on giving a balanced diet to the students as per nutrients needed. The menu is full of sumptuous variety Understanding an individual's appetite, palate and food preferences LPU designs various options of food for the children. The details of various options being provided to the students are: Choice of Menu Option A: Standard menu The standard food menu is the same existing option being provided for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea with snacks with unlimited quantity for most of the items. Option B: Basic Menu The students are now also given to opt for the Basic Food menu which will have limited items with a fixed quantity for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner only (No tea with snacks will be available on the Basic food menu). Choice of food (North Indian food or South Indian food) Option A: North Indian food The students have a choice of North Indian food in both the Standard menu and the Basic menu. Option B: Regional (South Indian) food. The students have a choice of Regional (South Indian) Food on the Standard menu and Basic menu.

Hi Anamika, the hostels of LPU are most comfortable and damn strict. There is no compromise when it comes to the security of the students. LPU residential facilities are as state of the art as the campus is. There is round-the-clock vigil through security cameras and there is a huge army of security personnel deployed all over the university. LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the Ac and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per week. The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box Bed, Study Table, Chair and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having maximum load upto 5 ampere per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There is 24 Hrs. electricity backup Water Supply, and services available. There are mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier machines, shops in all hostels, Guest Rooms, Car Wash Facility, Shopping Mall and Tuck Shops. From ala carte to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea is served at breakfast. In lunch Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati and Raita are served. The dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice and Desserts. The campus is ragging-free, drug-free and tobacco-free. If someone has a problem in connection with the residential facilities room, one can lodge a complaint. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest. The female guards are deployed in the girls' hostels. There are female security guards who look after the security of the girl's hostel. The campus is ragging-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free so there is no need to fear. The Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. of time and are accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels.

Hi LPU has an amazing hostel facility. All the hostels are provided with all the facilities. Food is also the same in all the hostels. All the facilities and services provided are the same and it entirely depends on which services you choose for yourself. Food joints at LPU are the best refreshing zone for not just students but for its staff too. Here, people from every age group will find their taste and can enjoy their leisure time with friends and family.

Without any doubt, I can say that the food quality is very good. The schedule followed in messes are structured in a well-mannered form where your morning breakfast might be choices between various type of Paranthas, sandwiches, toasts, and poha with or without butter, in the beverage you will get milk and tea. Where for lunch/dinner you'll get some seasonal vegetables and pulses. Once a week you will get a special diet where you'll get some special occasional foods. Only vegetarian food is available in the campus. If you are a non-vegetarian, youll have to visit restaurants outside the campus to get non-vegetarian food. LPUs hostels have a good accommodation where you'll get a room with an attached bathroom. They have the large collection of rooms for two-seaters, three seaters. They have a wide range of AC and Non AC rooms. Rooms are good to stay.

Lpu has worlds largest residential facilities. I suggest to choose universitys hostel instead of choosing P.G or other residential facilities outside the campus. University offers apartments, standard rooms and dormitories (for males) with the facilities of 24*7 electricity and security, WiFi facility, Indoor and outdoor sports and gym facility, parking facilities , banks , ATM, Food courts, Uni Mall, Uni Hospital etc. Candidate can save transportation fare if book universitys hostel. Students have an option to chhose Mess Plan from the University according to their taste and need. Mess Plan may be offered in 3 different categories i.e. Standard Mess, Basic Mess and Ala Carte. Standard and Basic plan includes option of North Indian/ South Indian/ Rajasthani/ Haryanvi/ Gujarati/ Eastern/ North-Eastern Cuisines. North Indian and South Indian cuisines can be opted in the same hostel mess or at centralised locations. Regional cuisine is available at specific locations only.

Being an LPU Student i had a great experience. LPU has the largest Residential Facility in India with full security and Safety. The hostel includes the services like WiFi, Departmental Stores, Attached Washroom, Laundry Service, Mess Facility, Hospital Facility, ATM etc. LPU has hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the Ac and Non AC.The fee structure of 4 Seater Standard Room NoN Ac is Rs.60,000 for the full Academic session. The Academic Session is of 10 months. The student can choose the Hostel as per his/her preference. Talking about the Hostel Food, the mess serves the 3 Meals and Evening snacks. The meals include breakfast, Lunch, Dinner . The mess serves the North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani and many other Regional food. The student can choose the food as per his/her preference. The Food quality is very good. The breakfast include the Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea. The Lunch Include Dry Vegetable, Dal/any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati and Raita. The Dinner include the Chapati, Seasonal Vegetable, Rice, Desserts.

Well, LPU provides the best hostel facility. There will be 24/7 CCTV maintenance with both male and female security guards patrolling. Hostels will be very nice and friendly environment. Mainly for girls hostels will be very clean. All the essential things for girls will be available in their hostel itself. When it comes to mess you may or may not like LPU hostel mess. But if you don't want to opt for LPU hostel mess there are canteens and food kiosks everywhere from where you can buy any type of food you want. If you are from South India then south Indian food will also be available inside LPU in food kiosks.
