For students aiming at a strong foundation in engineering, Chandigarh University stands out. The CSE programme is NBA accredited, and some courses have ABET recognition, giving global value. Students can choose from various specializations and gain hands-on experience through technical events, hackathons, and workshops. The DCPD (Department of Career Planning & Development) supports internships, placements, and soft skill training. Strong industry collaborations let students work on live projects and connect with professionals. With well-equipped labs, experienced faculty, and a practical learning focus, CU ensures students are ready f

Both LPU and Chandigarh University are well-known for engineering, but if I talk about LPU, I feel it gives an extra edge to students. The campus of LPU is very big and full of opportunities where you meet students from all over India and many countries, which helps in learning beyond books. The engineering programs are updated as per industry needs and LPU also has tie-ups with top companies for internships and placements. Many big recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, and Bosch visit the campus. The labs, research facilities, and innovative projects encourage practical learning, not just theory. The university also supports stu

    Hello there,

When choosing between Lovely Professional University (LPU) and Chandigarh University (CU) for pursuing engineering, I would personally recommend LPU for several reasons. LPU has built a strong reputation for its engineering programs, offering state-of-the-art facilities, industry tie-ups, and a curriculum that is constantly updated to meet global standards. The university's focus on practical learning, research, and development is a major plus. In addition, LPU's strong placement records with top companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Google ensure that graduates have excellent career opportunities. Many LPU engineering

If you ask for my opinion, I would recommend Chandigarh University over other academic institutions. Chandigarh University is one of the leading institutions in India, offering students a unique blend of professional and academic excellence. In the 2021 NIRF overall ranking, Chandigarh University is better than the LPU. Chandigarh University ranks 52nd among all universities in India and 77th among all universities in India. CU ranks 16th in architecture, 51st in pharmacies, and so on. Tricity only has 3 universities in the top 100 university rankings. Chandigarh University ranks first among private universities with the highest overa

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the NEST counselling is mainly done online, which is super convenient for us students anywhere in India. You just log in after your results, pick your preferred courses and seats based on your rank, and lock it all in digitally—no need to travel right away.
It's got this smooth flow: download your scorecard, fill choices online, get seat allotment via merit, pay the initial fee (like INR20,000) through net banking or UPI, then submit docs later. LPU makes it flexible too, letting you pay offline at campus if you prefer, but the core process stays online for quick access.

Yeah, LPU totally releases the LPU NEST counselling dates on their official site—it's super organized and student-friendly. For 2026, they've got it starting February 8th onwards for B.Tech, with online seat preferences from Feb 8-10, results on 12th, and admissions up to late Feb. Results drop quick, like within 24-48 hours post-exam, so you can jump right into counselling without waiting forever.
It's all online mostly, through nest.lpu.in, where you update choices and get allotments based on your score—makes it easy from anywhere. No offline hassle unless you want campus visits for fees. LPU keeps everything updated live, way

Yes, it is actually very much required to bring along Class 10 and 12 certificates or at least mark sheets during the LPU NEST counseling, primarily because the university explicitly would wish to establish the age of applicants from the Class 10 marksheet and verify eligibility with the Class 12 certificate/marksheet before confirming admission and awarding a scholarship.

at LPU NEST counselling, you would have to check the result & rank, fill and lock online course/seat preferences, get the allotment of the seat based on the rank and choices, pay to secure the seat by paying the initial fee, and go on to upload/verify documents and pay the remaining fee within the stipulated time for final admission.
