Is Lovely Professional University (LPU) a good choice for B.Sc. Hons agriculture?

I have spent 4 years in lpu for my studies and I have seen that the agriculture department is one of the finest departments. Well-equipped and well grown from the last couple of years. Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. In addition to this, students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Over and above, I also came to know that recently, LPU has been ranked in top 80 amongst all private and government institutes by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which shows the quality being delivered at the institute. LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so. On an average the Agriculture students of LPU is offered and placed in the starting package of 5.5 TO 6 LPA (Fixed salary) while there may be cases of students getting less than that or more than that. Like I said, LPU will provide you the platform and the opportunity, but it is really you who have to go and perform on the platform being provided. LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval.

Being alumni of LPU. I can say that. Yes LPU is defiantly a good choice for B.Sc. Hons. One thing we should keep in mind before taking admission for such a course is that the University we are choosing, must provide us deep and practical knowledge of the core subjects, must adapt to new technologies faster and the University environment should be healthy and clean and LPU does it all perfectly. LPU becomes India's first Private University to get ICAR Accreditation. Among all 8 institutions evaluated at Cars 22nd Board Meeting, LPU School of Agriculture was approved for accreditation with one of the highest ratings. LPU focuses on quality education a lot and all the professors of LPU are highly qualified and friendly, LPU also focuses a lot on practical knowledge and agriculture students of LPU has to go through various practical tasks and projects which makes it very easy to understand the concepts and develop a deep knowledge of the subjects.
