Is there any dress code in LPU for B.Tech students?

There is NO dress code for LPU students, however there are some programmes such as Hotel Management, MBA etc. Where wearing the uniform is mandatory. Apart from this students are required to be in formal dress during PEP (Professional Enhancement Programme) classes in order to inculcate the habit of wearing formals and making them suitable for corporate world.

According to me there NO dress code for B.Tech students of LPU. But if the candidate has registered for placements then wearing a formal dress is mandatory during PEP (Professional Enhancement programme) classes.

Hi there, there is no uniform for B Tech students. However, for formal occasions, the students have to wear formals which university provides and charge for it. During your practicals (except Computer Science/IT and ECE/EEE/EE practicals), you have to wear a lab coat for the duration of the practicals. On interviews and during the soft-skills classes you should come in a formal attire - a formal shirt, pants, leather shoes, a tie, and a leather belt (and a formal suit, if in winter!). One must be well-groomed, too. (Clean Shaven or well-trimmed facial hair for guys and neatly tied hair for girls. ). .

No, There is absolutely no particular dress code for the students at LPU university. One can wear any type of clothes they wish for. But wearing clothes that violate the rules of the university or cause a negative impact on the community may have consequences for you.

As per my knowledge, there is no such dress code in LPU for B.Tech CSE, I was a student of CSE at LPU even during my time there was not any dress code. There is no dress code for Bachelor of Technology Degrees students for daily routine classes. But during PEP classes and placement drives, you have to wear Formal Dresses. Professional Enhancement Programme or PEP classes: The curriculum incorporates specific courses (subjects) under the notion of Professional Enhancement Programmes (PEP) in which the students are prepared to crack the placement processes. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering:Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning)Quantitative Aptitude SkillsTechnical Aptitude SkillsPresentations and Soft SkillsMock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc. ) Tanya Arora, a final year Computer Science Engineering student of Lovely Professional University has bagged Rs 42 Lacs job offer from Microsoft. Hi, No, there is no dress code for B.Tech students, but when you have your soft skills classes or placement drives, you have to wear the uniform. Moreover, one should wear decent clothes while coming to the University. The university now provides the uniform at a very nominal charge. Thanks.

I am a alumni of LPU and I can tell you take it is actually a good place for ambitious and focused people to study in. If you want to explore, learn, grow and want to get placed in good companies then I must say please go ahead and take admission. I can say every student at LPU is blessed to get exposure to a variety of Culture and Tradition that aids in the overall societal growth of students. The environment is rich not only in the level of learning but also demonstrates India's international relations with other nations. Girls or boys can wear anything they want. Plus you can keep any kind of hairstyle you wish. There is no rule for that in university. As it is situated in Punjab and students from Africa as well as the North-Eastern part of India also study at LPU so you can imagine the fashion trend that goes inside the campus. If you are into fashion and modeling you can pursue your career in that as well. You will have both legal and moral support from the university, as most students fear the management and hence you would never experience CAT-calls or teasing for fear of getting expelled. For management students it is important to follow some good dress code policies as it would help them in their profession later in which they are going to be involved. So LPU keeping that in mind have made formals compulsory for MBA honors students and for other management programmes it is not compulsory but expected to come in formal for their personal grooming for the future jobroles. For other programs, students can wear decent casuals But they have to follow the dress code policy of the university during soft skills classes, placement classes, guest lectures, and seminars, Internships, workshops etc. Hope this information will help. Yes and No. You don't need to adhere to any specific uniform or dress code as a B.Tech student at Lovely Professional University. However, there are some exclusions to that : One should no wear bathroom slippers in the departments. Students should not wear shorts in the departments. (By departments, I mean the buildings where your classes are going to be held! ) During your practicals (except Computer Science/IT and ECE/EEE/EE practicals), you have to wear a lab coat for the duration of the practicals. On interviews and during the soft-skills classes : You must be in formal attire - a formal shirt, pants, leather shoes, a tie, and a leather belt (and a formal suit, if in winter!). One must be well-groomed, too. (Clean Shaven or well-trimmed facial hair for guys and neatly tied hair for girls. ) Also, hats/caps/turbans should only be worn for religious purposes. (Though, no one would stop you! ) That's it, I guess. I spent the years at LPU pretty comfortably and enjoyed most of the parts of the time spent there, I hope you will, too.
