SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardised entrance test commonly taken up by tudents to assess their aptitude for undergraduate admissions in colleges abroad. SAT is mainly taken by high school students who wish to pursue undergraduate courses in countries like the US, Canada, UK and others. Many colleges and universities require or strongly recommend SAT scores as part of the application for admission process. Applicants also get a scholarship based on their scores on the Scholastic Assessment Test.

SAT is an important deciding factor in considering admissions to universities abroad at large. Importance of SAT can be understood this way:
- It helps admission committee understand an applicant's potential academically, and offer or not offer him admission.
