Which college is better Thapar University or VIT, Bangalore?

Placements: VIT HAS AVERAGE PACKAGE OF 6.05 Lacs While Thapar has Average Package of 6.69 Lacs. Here Thapar is Better. But Thapar has more % of it's students in CS and IT then VIT. Many say that Thapar had better quality of Student But As of Data of 2019 Even 65 Percentile students could get admission in Thapar.

If you want full exposure, I would suggest VIT. But, if you want more academic results, prefer Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. Placement vise, both are almost equal. But, according to NRCC list, VIT is at 16th Rank and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is at 20th. Best wishes.

I get it so many Thapar lovers are here. Okay, I belong to VIT University, Vellore. Can't comment upon Thapar, I haven't had a chance to hear about this university. It is just my roommate from Patiala says that it is nothing like VIT. You can get the same level of exposure as they get in Thapar. I don't think it is anywhere compared to VIT or SRM. Now coming to facilities of VIT University: 1. Medical facilities - VIT has a superb medical center which has a good team working 24*7 to keep you healthy. And in case you need to have much more medical facilities CMC is just 10 min away. Go on google it CMC, Vellore. VIT has a MoU signed with CMC which provides you instant help. 2. The SAE teams at VIT. SAE teams at VIT are not only on top position in INDIA but in ASIA too. 3. VIT gives you a great senior junior interaction and that finally bonds up to form a strong ALUMNI network around the world. I know three of my seniors going for MS in California, yesterday I got a call from one of them he said that if you need anything just call me. (where will you get such lovely seniors? ) 4. Apart from all this, VIT gives you a sea of opportunities. Make your own timetable, choose your own slots. Chennai & Bangalore are just few hours away. (Pondicherry too) Placements and packages are good. Every day some company will visit, sometimes it even happens that 3-4 will visit the same day. 5. Go on search youtube channels regarding VIT. 6. Clubs and Chapters in VIT are way too good. They conduct many workshops and sessions on a regular basis. 7. You can work at research level too. 8. The campus is just mindblowing. 9. Competition in VIT will keep you updated and will ready you for the forthcoming life challenges.

Dear Vrudant, Out of the given two option, you should to choose VIT, Vellore University because as compared to Thapar University, this university has very good infrastructure and very fine student output. This college has also the good faculty student's ratio. For VIT you need to score in VITEEE exam. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
