Admission Process Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC) has an admission process. For various courses including PG courses, candidates have to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university. The university conducts its own entrance exam for admission and the selection is based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam followed by an interview for PG courses. Therefore admission to MCNUJC is not merit-based but rather admission-based.

Admission to Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCNUJC) is primarily merit-based, considering the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination. However, for PG courses, the admission is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the university, followed by an interview. Therefore, the university follows a combination of merit-based and entrance-based admission processes, depending on the specific course.
