Being an alumni of LPU I believe that I can answer your query properly. LPU is one of the finest universities in India. The dept. Of Civil Engineering offers very dynamic study content. It not only focuses on teaching concepts of civil engineering but also lays stress on practical application of the principles and theories. Being more interested in structural engineering I personally found the content of courses like, Design of Structures, Bridge design, Fluid Mechanics designed in such an interesting way that you hardly find any other university working on syllabus enhancement to such an extent as LPU does. To get admission into the PhD programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU), here's how the process works:

Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Thank you.

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. Dear reader,

Taking admission at LPU is a great choice. LPUNEST is their own entrance and scholarship exam.

The candidate's merit rank on the test and the courses and specializations they selected during the online preference submission are the main factors used to assign seats for LPU NEST counseling.  The availability of seats in the selected programs is another factor that affects allocation.

For more information kindly contact their concerned department.

I hope this information helps.
