Dear Poorna, Its clear that you have a decent score, If you get into any old IITs and some top NITs then its right to go for them, but if not, then obviously chose the best among private universities. CSE is a highly dynamic field, needs a curriculum overhaul every now and then, so curator needs to be even more dynamic. Well in my opinion, I will recommend Lovely Professional University. LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. There is no point to compare because every organisation is just doing good at their places but yes I have heard alot about LPU because of its good number of years of establishment and the rankings it possess. On inquiring, I came in order to take admission in LPU you have to be eligible and eligibility is 60% in 10+2 with (English, Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPU NEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPU NEST. You should be happy to know that LPU has been ranked top 80 amongst all private and government institutions by NIRF, MHR, GOI. Not only this, the Engineering institutes have also been ranked top 100 amongst all other Engineering institute which is a matter of proud. You can join LPU by appearing in LPU NEST which is remotely online proctored test which will be conducted from home due to COVID-19. With a 93.11 percentile in JEE Mains, you have a decent shot at getting into some good private and a few government colleges, though NITs might still be a stretch depending on the cutoff. If you're open to private universities, you can consider places that focus on practical learning and industry tie-ups. One option worth looking into is Chandigarh University. I know a few students from there who've pursued CSE and were pretty satisfied with the learning experience, especially because of the flexibility in choosing specializations like AI, cybersecurity, or data science. What I found interesting was that some students even got the chance to study abroad for a semester, and a couple earned scholarships to places like Walt Disney through their international programs. So, while it may not have the same legacy as older institutes, it's definitely growing fast and can be a good choice if you're looking for exposure and diverse opportunities.
