  • At GIBS, candidates can apply simultaneously for both the PGDM and BBA programme, each with different entry requirements. The BBA programme is open to anyone who has completed their 12th grade, whereas the PGDM programme requires applicants to possess a bachelor's degree and maintain a minimum score of 50%. Candidates who meet both requirements may apply for both programmes individually, with their applications assessed based on entrance exam results and academic performance as well as an interview. With this dual application process, students are able to evaluate more than one option prior to making their final decision; however, once

The candidate can apply to both the PGDM as well as the BBA programs. However, they are dealt with separately because each of them has different eligibility criteria, different selection processes, and differences in academic requirements. Students who fulfill the respective eligibility criteria can send applications for both courses. Each course will have its respective evaluation, like academic screening, entrance exam scores in the case of PGDM, interviews, or any other evaluation. However, the final admission will depend upon the choice of the programme the candidate would like to pursue after receiving offers.

At GIBS Bangalore, most students do end up getting internships — honestly, it feels like a big majority of the batch gets some kind of internship before final placements. You rarely hear about someone not getting one, because the college helps connect students with companies early on.

As for stipends, it varies depending on the company and role. Many internships offer a decent amount that helps cover expenses — some are paid well enough, while a few might be more about experience than money. You'll hear people getting good stipends from startups and growing companies, and even some midsized firms give nice pocket money too.

As a student, a typical day at GIBS Bangalore's 10-acre campus would look something like this:

  • Morning: I start the day by reaching campus and attending my first classes of the day. The classrooms are spacious, and the environment is really good for learning. Sometimes, we have group discussions or case studies which make the morning interactive.

  • Afternoon: After classes, we usually have a lunch break in the campus cafeteria. The afternoon is again for lectures or practical sessions depending on the subject. We also get time for library study or project work.

  • Evening: The evening is for extra activities like sports, cultural clubs, or wor

From my experience as a student at GIBS Bangalore, events like the IRE Conference, startup competitions, and networking evenings are really exciting and useful. I remember attending a networking evening where I got to talk directly to company managers and even learned about roles I didn't know existed.

Startup competitions at GIBS give us a chance to pitch our ideas, work with classmates, and get feedback from real entrepreneurs, which really boosts confidence. The IRE Conference is another platform where we hear success stories and challenges from industry leaders, which makes learning practical and inspiring.

Honestly, these events mak

A tip from the faculty at GIBS Business School has aided the students in obtaining quality placements for years. It is recommended that you focus on developing strong fundamentals in addition to having hands-on practice rather than just getting the highest marks. The faculty members suggest that students should engage in activities such as live projects and case discussions, as well as develop effective communication and problem-solving strategies through the use of mock interviews. A well-rounded understanding of concepts, combined with the ability to apply them in the real world and present confidently, is essential for success durin
