Programme provides the knowledge of traditional theoretical methods in support with modern statistical tools. LPU has joined hands with the tech giant IBM to integrate the emerging technologies with the experiential learning at undergraduate level which includes the access to enterprise software, delivery by IBM designated experts, real time industry case study and research methodologies. In addition to applied and theoretical aspects of statistics, the curriculum lays a strong foundation in other domains, such as mathematics, computers and data analytics. The eligibility for the course is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English and Maths) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNESTor CUET.
For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.
There is 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.
