    No, you cannot appear for the CLAT exam if you fail to meet the eligibility criteria. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) strictly enforces the eligibility requirements, which include:

    Educational Qualification: For the undergraduate program, you must have passed your 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). Failure to meet this qualification makes you ineligible to appear for CLAT.
