Yes, Lpu has lateral entry courses are available in Engineering.The eligibility is pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 yrs. after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent. LPUNEST is not mandatory but still you can appear for the scholarship.

Hello Yogesh, Yes, you can do B.tech in Lateral Entry (in 2nd year of B. Tech) from LPU after your Diploma program. You can choose any B. Tech program according to your interest, it is not mandatory that if you have done Diploma in CSE then only you can do B. Tech in the same branch, you may choose any branch in the B.Tech programme. Let me share the eligibility criteria for B.Tech Lateral Entry after Diploma. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) Admission Criteria Merit in qualifying examination, subject to eligibility criteria.

As an alumni of LPU, i would like to answer this question. Admissions in LPU are ongoing for all the programmes. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, first of all decide the programme that you want to join and check its Eligibility criteria for Admission. LPU conducts LPUNEST for all the programmes. LPUNEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. For most of the programmes, it serves both the purposes. As per the official website of LPU, the Schedule for LPUNEST has been started for all the programmes for this current session i.e 2021. As far as Scholarship is concerned, the amount of scholarship depends on the fee of the programme, date of admission and performance of the student in LPUNEST. Scholarship for a specific Programme depends on Performance in LPUNEST. Also, there is no negative marking in this exam so chances of scoring well are more in this. In order to apply for the Exam, you can refer the following steps : 1 Register yourself on the portal 2. Fill the details 3. Choose the programme 4. Apply for LPUNEST 5.
