The minimum eligibility criteria required in B.Tech CSE is 60% and as you have less than that you cannot be admitted in that programme. But there is definitely an option of getting admission in Diploma engineering and after completing your Diploma you can get lateral entry admission in B.Tech CSE preferred if you meet the minimum eligibility criteria than. Hi,
Yes, you are eligible for B.Tech in CSE. Just give the entrance test and then counselling. If your counselling goes well, then you will get admission in CSE. All the best

    Hi dear,
The eligibility for passing engineering exam is:-
    1. Pass 12th with minimum 50% marks from recognised University or Board.
    2. For ST/SC candidate minimum 45% marks is require. The age limit for exam is 17-25 year. So yes you can study B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and can become a software engineering. However for placements the scenario might be pretty different. Most of the top companies come with criteria of 70-75% throughout in academics and 90% of the companies including IT companies have a criteria of 60% or above in academics to sit for their placements. However there a few companies having criteria of 50-55

I think you will not get a good college at this percentage, but don't get upset. If you are interested to become a software engineer then go for different certification courses on various languages like big data, python, Java, Pearl, etc. to slowly build up a strong resume. I have seen people excelling in this field when they didn't have good percentage but if you really want to pursue B.Tech, then go for dropping a year but dropping a year usually don't work out in most cases.

Polytechnic will be the best option for you.
You can do Diploma in CSE which is a 3 years course on basis of 10th marks.
And then you can do Lateral Entry in B Tech with CSE.

You can do engineering with these marks, but you will not get good colleges, so I will recommend you to do programming courses in that field. It will help you a lot in your dream completion. Regards.

Yes, you can go for CS branch in engineering but you will get an average rated college. So I advice you to drop a year and improve your 12th percentage otherwise you can be an entrepreneur.

See, at this score, you won't be able to get any college but don't be upset. You can try in the management quota if you won't be able to pay the extra fee of these colleges, then you can opt for BCA and in that, you will be able to learn more and more skills from open source platforms like Coursera, Udacity and many more and then, give self assessment test on the Hackerearth, Techgig, Redhat and many more. You will be able to become a software engineer and you can easily grab good job and position in many good MNCs.

    Hi,
For pursuing B.Tech you need to crack JEE or any college's entrance examination.
And as you have secured above 50%, you have met the minimum eligibility to take admission in any of your desired college.
So prepare well and get a good rank after cracking JEE.
