Can I get admission in aeronautical engineering after doing a Diploma in mechanical engineering? If yes, what is the procedure for it?

I am currently studying in Govt. Polytechnic, Pune. If I need admission in MIT then is there any entrance exam for the same?

After diploma, a student can seek lateral admission directly in 2nd of engineering. However there is a catch. These admissions are restricted to within same state. Hence I am afraid, you will have to seek admission in a college in Maharashtra only.
