Can I get admission in LPU without appearing for LPU NEST and JEE Mains exam?

Hi Mate, I am guessing that you are hoping to do Engineering courses since you mentioned JEE Mains. Although it depends on course to course. You'll have to give LPU NEST if you want to do engineering from LPU because LPU NEST is a pathway to scholarships and opportunities. It depends on the programme in which you want to take admission in LPU. LPU NEST is not mandatory for the every programme that LPU offers. As per the eligibility criteria if LPU NEST exam is mandatory to qualify than student have to clear that exam in other courses student can appear for this exam for scholarship purposes only.

Hello Kavitha! Well, it depends upon the programme you would like to take admission in. What eligibility criteria it follows. LPU runs around 200+ programs and each programme has different eligibility criteria. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programmes and for scholarship for most of the programmes. If the eligibility says subject to qualifying LPU NEST then you have to clear the entrance exam. In addition to qualifying it also provides you a good amount of scholarship if you score well. In case the eligibility of the programme says Pass or only states some percentage criteria, only then LPU NEST will not be a mandate to qualify. LPU offers 200+ programmes and each programme eligibility and admission criteria specified. Well, you can take admission at LPU engineering programme without these mentioned exams only on one condition that either you should have 90% or above in 12th boards result or you scored 90 or above percentile in JEE Mains exam. Only by this way you are exempted from LPU NEST exam. As per 2020 admission updates B.Tech eligibility says Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. If you have above 90% in 12th then you are exempted from LPU NEST and JEE Mains and take admission in LPU.

Hello, LPU is a premier university of India with top placements, world-class infrastructure and faculty. There are more than 200 courses in the university. Each course has certain eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by a candidate to get admission. For example, if you want to take admission in Diploma course a candidate must have 50% marks in 10th. There are courses like B.Tech where the LPU NEST or JEE-Mains is mandatory. But there are many other courses which do not need LPU NEST. If you are talking about engineering courses then you will have to give LPU NEST. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, first of all decide the programme that you want to join and check its Eligibility criteria for Admission. LPU conducts LPU NEST for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. Hi, Talking about the B.Tech streams LPU NEST is mandatory. JEE Mains can help the candidate in scholarship but to qualify the eligibility criteria the candidate has to appear for LPU NEST. In order to take admission into B.Tech degree in LPU you need to qualify the eligibity criteria. Eligibility criteria is 60% in 10+2 with English Physics &amp; Mathematics )+ LPUNEST For Biotechnology, Food Tech and Biomedical engineering. English Physics Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Biotech and rest all same For Chemical English Physics Chemistry and Mathematics and rest all same.
