Can I get admission in NIT or IIT by lateral entry scheme?

I have completed my Diploma in mechanical engineering from Himachal Technical Board with 72%.

    Hello Divyanshu,
    You can't go to NIT or IIT as a lateral entry there is some process to join such institutions that first you have to qualify JEE Mains after that Advanced JEE then according to your caste there will be cut-off marks that you have to score then you can go but not as a lateral entry.
