    Hi Divya,
It is very difficult to get any NIT or BIT Mesra at this rank. However, you can try for Jaypee Noida, UPES Dehradun, Galgotias College, etc. Otherwise, you may drop this year and prepare thoroughly for JEE again in the next year, and get your desired IIT or NIT.
    Best Wishes.

Sorry, but it is not possible to get any of the above-mentioned colleges other than NIT-Sikkim or Meghalaya. Though, other than being a northeast Indian, it isn't worth going there. Try for private universities or autonomous institutes by giving their exams.

Yes, you can easily get these college but for that you have to wait for the last session of counselling as in that, you are able to get these colleges with the specific branch you need to pursue.

Sorry Diya but 1 lakh rank is not sufficient to fetch you a NIT, moreover for General category, impossible. You can try for private colleges and if you have dedication and belief that you can work hard and crack next year with good marks, then you may decide for a drop ( only if you have dedication to study one more year with lot of hard work). Hope it helps.

As per your rank there are very few chances for you to get admission in any NIT. Better option you have is to go with private colleges and wait for counseling round. All the best for future.
