can I get job abroad if I done my b.tech from UGC recognised university(LPU) but not AICTE approved.
-
Dear Kumar
AICTE is the supreme and regulatory authority in Technical Education. But universities are considered as above AICTE. So AICTE Approval is mandatory for affiliated engineering colleges only. It is not mandatory for BE / B Tech courses directly conducted by universities within the campuses. Lovely Professional University / LPU is a private university just like SRM, Hindustan and Manipal Universities. It has University status and does not require the AICTE Approval. All the best. -
Your B.Tech degree have the same value as the other university or colleges have. LPU is one of the best universities for pursuing engineering. For running a university one needs UGC's approval, which they already have. It won't create any difficulty in getting jobs. In short you can get job abroad without any hazel regarding this issue.

Dear Kartikeya, LPU has been established by Punjab Vishan Sabha Act passed in 2005 u/s 2F of UGC Act 1956. It is recognised by UGC, member of AIU and for all the regulated programs by the relevant authorities. AICTE is a body which regulates the AFFILIATED colleges to various universities not the universities themselves. Coming to Jobs:
More than 650 companies visit the campus and hire thousands of students through over 900 placement drives. A huge number of former students work in government sector in India as well as many other countries. So there is no problem of any job after graduating from LPU. DVD. -

Kartikeyya,
UGC approved universities don't need AICTE approval, according to Supreme court ruling. LPU is one of the best universities in India. It is a UGC approved university which has been ranked highly by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its faculty, its placements, its teaching practices etc. The university provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too.
