    For B.Tech lateral entry in CSE from LPU, you will require 60% marks in any stream of Diploma (engineering. ). Along with LPU-NEST which is an entrance as well as scholarship.     Yes, you can pursue B.Tech CSE after Diploma, Lovely professional University is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking.     Yes, after completing your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, you seek B.Tech in CSE side entry from LPU. As it is lateral entrance, it is a 3-year course, given that you are eligible for a course with a minimum of 60 per cent marks in your Diploma. *5 per cent relaxation in the North East and Sikkim candidates/Defense Staff and their Dependents/Kashmir Migrants Wardens)

    Well, as far as I know, Diploma holders can apply for LPU B.Tech Lateral entry programme with any stream of engineering. Lateral entry means the admission will be directly in the 2nd year of the course. You do not have to take admission in 1st year you will be directed to 2nd year of any undergraduate programme. Basically, for admission in B.Tech CSE lateral entry on Diploma basis, eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate which says Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ).     Yes, sure you can do it. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for the same. As per the Eligibility criteria for B.Tech CSE Lateral Entry is to Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. So, apply for LPU NEST and qualify it. Also, there is no negative marking in this exam so chances of scoring well are more in this. In order to apply for the Exam, you can refer the following steps :
