Can I pursue M.Sc in agriculture after completing my B.Sc?

    Yes, sure you can pursue your Masters in the same field as your Bachelors. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for the same. Qualifying the same can proceed for Admissions. There are ample of opportunities in this field both in Government and in Private sector. Getting a good job depends on various factors like from where you have done your Graduation, your skills, your knowledge about the field, the Industrial experience and exposure if you have any.     The candidate should have Bachelors degree in Agriculture or Horticulture or Forestry from a recognised university in India. The candidate must also have passed the degree with minimum 50% marks. So, you are not eligible, as you don't have this subjects.     Yes you can do as the eligibility criteria for M.Sc. Agriculture will be any undergraduate degree in B.Sc. In Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, or any other relevant course from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
  • A person can only pursue M.Sc. In agriculture if they have opted for Zoology, Botany and Chemistry at the B.Sc. Level. So, if you have opted for PCM in B.Sc. Degree, it is not possible to pursue M.Sc. in agriculture.

    Yes, you can pursue M.sc in agriculture after completing B.sc . And M.sc has relevant subjects to B.sc and in M.sc you can also choose between the subjects like pathology , forestry, and horticulture and so on. I suggest you to choose the area where your interests are, as it increases your efficiency in studies.

    Yes, you can pursue MSc in Agriculture after the BSc programme but BSc should be in the relevant field. Being alumni of LPU, let me share the eligibility details for MSc in Agri at LPU.
    You should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. Agriculture or B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) (4 years) or equivalent. Moreover, you have to qualify for the LPUNEST exam conducted by LPU.
    LPU is the first private university that got approval from ICAR.

    In order to pursue M.Sc. Agriculture you need to have a Pass with 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. Agriculture or B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons. ). (4 years) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. There after you are eligible for Masters.
