Can I pursue M.Sc in agriculture after completing my B.Sc?

    The history of Agriculture in India dates back to Indus valley civilization era and even before. The economic contribution of agriculture to India's GDP is 13.7%. India as a country rely on agriculture to such a large extent that agriculture post graduates are one of the most in-demand professionals in Indian banks and central government departments. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India.

    Yes you can and if interested, you may go for b.tech in food technology. NIFTEM is one of the institute that takes jee main score for admissions. For more details, check here.

    Yes, surely you can pursue M.Sc in agriculture after the completion of your B.Sc. It is a two-year course. And you can choose any subject of your interest horticulture, pathology, genetics, forestry, and many more. You can also prepare for JRF that grants admission to many renowned universities in agriculture with a scholarship.

    Hi,
    The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Horticulture or Forestry from a recognized university in India. The candidate must also have passed the degree with minimum 50% marks. So, you are not eligible, as you don't have this subjects. Thanks.

    It depends on the eligibility criteria of the university, you opt for doing MSc in agriculture.

Well, if you have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, all three in your Bachelor's degree you should first understand and analyze that which subject you like the most and you are highly interested in. Then devote atleast a year and evaluate the scope of M.Sc in that particular subject, study it and then select the subject. Don't be in a rush, take your time.
