Can I pursue MBA without appearing for GMAT and CAT?

I have 8 years of technical experience in power plants. I have completed my B.Tech in mechanical engineering from IGNOU. I want to do MBA for better post and promotions.

Hi Pratik, Sorry, but I couldn't get if you just don't want to appear for CAT and GMAT or you are not willing to appear for any such entrance exam. If it is the first case, then you can go other exams XAT, SNAP, etc. And, if you are not willing to give any such exam, then you can filter the colle

You can actually pursue there are colleges which provides Admissions without entrance exams.

Hello, Absolutely, there are so many other exams too such as XAT CMAT NMAT SNAP CET, MAT, etc., which you can give and get admission in a reputed college.

Yes, it is not compulsory to appear for CAT GMAT instead of that you should try XAT NMAT, MSCET, SNAP etc.

Yes, you can. You can go for NMAT, IIFT SNAP CMAT MHCET XAT etc. However, a lot of these exams have syllabus similar to CAT. So, I would recommend you to give CAT as well, as more colleges take CAT score than these exams scores.

You can opt for other exams also like CMAT and MAT, which are comparatively easy. You will get good colleges. However, if you don't want to appear in any exams, then also you can get colleges for MBA.

Yes, you can do. You should also have a minimum of 50%-60% in UG (any stream) for admission in the same. Admission in MBA is done on the basis of entrance exam followed by interview and GD. There are some private colleges which give direct admission. The best colleges are: Department of Managemen

Yes. IIMB does require the CAT exam, but the rest of the top B-schools in Bangalore also take in candidates through the state-level CET, ie, the Karnataka PGCET exam, or through MAT or CMAT.

IIM Calcutta has only mentioned accepting GMAT score for admission into EMBA courses.

However, CAT is commonly accepted by other similar institutes for both MBA and MBAEx courses. Thus, candidates are advised to ask admission desk for confirmation on this question.

It is not possible to determine a candidate's admission in IIM Calcutta MBA course through CAT score alone. In Stage 1, a score 85% in CAT will be enough for a general category candidate to be selected for PI+WAT admission stage.

Final admission cutoffs are based on many factors other than CAT score.
