Can i take CS? As i am interested in computer but have no idea about programming. But my relatives are forcing me not to.

First of all relax. Many of the students who choose their branch have no idea on what field to take. Many will be under force by relatives to choose the field they prefer, please don't listen to those people, yes, you may first choose the field of their choice. In the first year, the basics of all the subjects and prerequisites for every field will be taught then by the beginning of the second year you get the choice to choose the field of your choice yes there is an option in VTU, you can change your branch to whichever field you prefer to do your engineering in. Now continue on the field you most like "Innovations happen when you show maximum dedication and interest", Engineering is a huge course spanning across 4 years trust me only your interest and motivation in the field of your interest will help you get through the final 3 years of the course. IS - Information Science Engineering is a really good course and and one highly recommended to get into the IT playing field.
