Can the students of other states take admission in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow for M.Sc (Ag.) horticulture?

Yes, you can, but its not the best choice, Horticulture as a branch of studies is picking up in India these days due to proposed mega investments in food parks and government push towards different agri crops. There are few good institutions which curate the programs for horticulture. My 16 years in education tell me that LPU, with its program outcomes like: 1 : Knowledge Enhancement : Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of essential facts, concepts, principles and theories relating to subject areas. 2 : Communication : Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written contexts in the form of technical papers, project reports, design documents and seminar presentations. 3 : Problem Solving : Acquiring the ability to Identify, investigate, understand and analyze complex problems pertaining to agricultural practices and identify effective solution, strategies for implementation. 4 : Analytical approach : Evaluate the analytical and scientific decision making using cross functional information and research tools. 5 : Research Skill : Inculcate the role of research in developing and maintaining knowledge of the state-of-the-art in various technologies in agriculture sector. Acquire the skill to design develop and modify system to meet desired needs within realistic constraints. 6 : Entrepreneurship skills : Understand the process of setting up and managing viable business ventures. 7 : Ethics & IPR : Apply ethical principles and commit to professional responsibilities and norms of the scientific practice and become familiar with the intellectual property rights, standards and laws in agriculture and allied sectors 8 : Apply knowledge and hands on experience on in-depth studies of orchard management 9 : Apply knowledge in precision farming, GAP and biotechnological approaches of horticultural crops 10 : Impart technical skills for post harvest processing, storage and marketing of fruit crops 11 : Develop ability to use innovative techniques for improving input use efficiency Not only this, it curates specializations within the branch, the programs offered are: M.Sc. LPU Becomes the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation By the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. It lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments.

Although I am not familiar with Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, as alumnus of LPu, I can provide information. One of Punjab's and India's Best Agriculture Colleges is LPU School of Agriculture. LPU becomes the first private university to receive ICAR accreditation from the Indian government's ministry of agriculture. It places a strong emphasis on doing research in related and agricultural domains. The institution features great farm facilities for conducting agricultural research, as well as well-equipped labs, a library, lecture halls, and other spaces.
