Being an alumni of LPU I had lot of friends in CSE stream so I had an idea about the B.Tech CSE. It depend upon your interests as well as preference which one you want to choose. Nonetheless, You are having numerous number of benefits which are available to the Hons students. The following are the utilities available ; 1. You can access the library books for more than the normal students. 2. In case of the hostel allotments you would be getting certain additional preferences other than the normal students. Hello Sakshi, Nowadays computer Science engineering is a great setback for the other branches of engineering or you can say like this, that this decade was completely dedicated to the computer Science engineering. So B.Tech honours in computer Science engineering is really a worth to pursue. So go ahead with your choice, don't worry. Now coming to the LPU, if you are qualifying an eligibility criteria which is like this, candidate must have 60% marks in 12th class. (59.9% will not be rounded off as considered to be a 60%). One must have to qualify the entrance exam LPU NEST also. SO, Poonam, if you are satisfying and eligibility criteria you can take admission and I saw you if you had a good percentage in 10th class are you are having good percentage in 12th class you will get an ample scholarship and the scholarship will continue till your last semester. That means once the scholarship will be conferred to you in first semester it will remain with you till last semester until unless you will not involved in any of the criminal act. LPU is putting more efforts to make Industry ready product. First of all the difference is in the specializations. LPU offers large number of industry specific specializations, highly coveted Computer Science Engineering along with the function specific ones, while you can easily count the total number of classes in NIT's.
