LPU is a first private University having ICAR accreditation. ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) co-ordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture (government. of India). LPU School of Agriculture has been granted accreditation by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, making it the first and only private University in the country to receive the accreditation. LPU got this accreditation last year (2018). LPU offers course in B.Sc (Hons. ) Agriculture, M.Sc Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc A

The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR. I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighbouring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. Major Highlights of the programme that I would be highlighting over here are as follows:

Being a alumni of Lovely Professional University, I would say Lovely professional University School of Agriculture is among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. It lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped Laboratories, Library, lecture rooms, and an excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. I did MBA from LPU, During my post-graduation years I had few friends from the agriculture department, Sometimes I used to visit fields, Labs with them they also discussed placements, academics, placements, etc. So I have an Idea about this course.
