Can you suggest some good and inexpensive private universities for B.Tech (CS) and mechanical engineering?

Kindly suggest colleges having fee under 6 Lacs for 4-years excluding hostel fee and under 10 Lacs including hostel fee along with a good placement record. Also, is Chandigarh University a good option?

As per my experience, LPU is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, the best laboratories, and modern technologies. LPU provides abundant opportunities for students to think out of the box. LPU is a better option, in terms of placements, best curriculum, infrastructure, well-experienced faculty, and provides hands-on experience on the latest technologies. LPU is providing its students the exposure by providing opportunities for guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits, internships, etc. I am saying this as per my experience and is an al

Every branch is good provided you have a strong interest in that. I will brief you both and its prospects then you can decide as per your orientation. Unaware about CU but on interaction with the faculty of LPU who told that Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is a major branch of engineering at LPU which has been designed primarily to suit the needs of the students who aspire to be the future engineers, managers or entrepreneurs with a strong grounding in accounting and finance. If you want colleges that will cost you less than INR. 10 Lacs, then I'll suggest you to opt for the AKG or KIET, as these are the only best in class colleges in the budget you have mentioned.

Well in my opinion, I will recommend Lovely Professional University. LPU believes in the fact that money should not be a constraint for a student to pursue his choice of studies. Scholarship can be availed in the various courses offered by LPU. LPU offers scholarship on the various categories :-

I've had a really good experience with the mechanical engineering faculty at Chandigarh University. Most of them are PhD holders, so you can tell they know their subject inside out. What I like is that they're not just teaching from books—they share real-world examples, guide us in labs, and help with projects. The faculty is approachable, so if you ever get stuck on something, you can just ask, and they'll explain patiently. They also encourage students to explore electives like Thermal & Energy Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or Design & Robotics, and help you pick what suits your career goals.

Plus, with all the collab

Yes, Chandigarh University is a good choice for B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. What I really like about the programme is the variety of specializations you can pick, like Thermal & Energy, Industrial Manufacturing & Management, or Automation & Robotics. The labs are another strong point from 3D printing and advanced welding labs to industry-backed centres by Honda, Mahindra, Hyundai, and MG Motors. These collaborations give you hands-on exposure that feels very close to real-world industry work. On top of that, the department is both ABET and NBA accredited, which adds global recognition. With regular industrial visits, workshops, and
