You can get good private college, but now a days getting into a college is not important the thing.
Computer Science and Automation and Robotics are two branches having great scope in future.
I would suggest Gulzar Group of Institution for these two branches, as Gulzar Group of Institution is 3rd college in India to have KUKA certified training in automation and robotics. For CSE, it has signed MoU with L-Kshay Pvt. There are so many good colleges, but I will share my top 5 list with you, the colleges I think are best for CSE:
1. Thapar University,
2. UTM Shillong,
3. UPES Dehradun,
4. SRM,
5. VIT.

None other than BITS Pilani but VIT, SRM, UPES and LPU are also good.

You can try for VIT, Techno India Group-Kolkata, SMU, SIT-Tumkur and MS Ramaiya.
