GRE and PTE/IELTS are both requirements for any form of study you wish to pursue. GRE is basically a test for the university to guage whether the person applying for an admission possesses the bas=re minimum knowledge required of a person to enroll under a course. IELTS and PTE are 2 types of English proficiency testis where the prior is recognised more than the latter. However, in case of a proper work opportunity, you would still require IELTS as the English Proficiency test.
