The main scope of civil engineering is planning, designing, estimating, supervising, managing and maintenance of structures like building, roads, bridges, dams etc. Civil Engineering is the branch of engineering where more precision is required in executing theoretical knowledge in real-time projects. If that knowledge isn't sufficient, blunders can happen. So, if one is thinking of opting for civil engineering, more precision is required in terms of choosing the college. There are lot of universities that runs Civil Engineering. Few of the top colleges are : IIT, NIT, VIT, Geeta University, College of Engineering-Pune, MIT. I would advise you to choose best University on the basis of University ranking, placements, infrastructure, faculty members etc.

Dear Sujeet, Lovely Professional University is one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Punjab. So if a degree in B.Tech (Civil engineering) is what you seek, I suggest that you do consider LPU. I have sound reasons to actually make this suggestion.
