I feel students shld check with instt. whether any capsule for Leadership seed cultivation process is added into curriculam. Else candidates shld go thru' this module outside the instt. Its very important. instt. like Daivatma Angels of LeEi, etc are available offering this capsule/module training supplementing the need of manager wants to bcum leader.

Most of the CAT aspirants go for some sort of coaching. I am curious whether people know about excellent online courses for CAT preparation. They are more affordable. I think time has arrived that out of MBA' aspirants before getting into any MBA instt. they shld pass thru' Leadership Seed Cultivation training. This will help them in realising their dreams which they have.

Your choice of selection of right question to solve means that in your first attempt you should select the question which you can solve with confidence in less time. You may be able to attempt around 20-25 questions out of 100 in first attempt. This will boost your confidence level and morale.
2. Choose the most appropriate questions
If you are able to crack 60-70 out of 100 questions, a situation which is more likely to happen in CAT 2014, you may get a high sectional as well as overall percentile so the advisable approach is to maximise your attempts by solving maximum number of questions from both the sections.
3.Time management is crucial
You need to solve more questions in less time. Improvement in devising the strategy to solve more questions within the allotted time should be the focus of preparation now for CAT 2014.
CAT aspirants earlier had 2.32 minutes at their disposal to solve one question and now it stands reduced to 1.70 minutes per question. It is therefore better to focus more on right kind of questions instead of more number of questions which may attract penalty of 1/3 negative marking.
4. Improve the speed
'Practice more to improve speed' The challenge to choose the right question with a speedy reading habit solely depends upon the ability of the aspirants. Since no CAT aspirant goes to solve all the questions in both the sections, it's better to improve the speed within the allotted time by practicing more and more. This strategy of preparation for CAT 2014 during next 45 days will not only boost the confidence level of the candidates but also will improve the speed.
5. Accuracy
If you select the right and doable question, your accuracy level will improve else it will go down. You can attain high accuracy level only when your reading speed is improved with clear understanding. When you opt for an answer option you should be clear on it. Else the negative marking may get you nowhere.

You can apply for CAT if you have a graduation degree (or pursuing) in regular mode.

At ISB college hyderabad I heard something about young leadership programme in which we have to give 2 years experience after graduation n then after having this period of experience they'll give u admission in PGDM.Is it so?

Candidates have the flexibility to devote more or less time to each section according to their ability. One can switch over from one section to another section at any point during the examination timing.
The tutorial will not be available before the start of the examination and the candidates are advised to do the tutorials from the website well in advance.
There's been no change in the exam syllabus. Candidates will receive questions in four sections: Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.
The registration for the CAT 2014 will remain open for 56 days beginning from August 6 and closing on September 30. Students will be able to download admit card from October 16 to till examination date. The results will be declared in the third week of December 2014.
