The most important consideration while choosing any management institute is value for money. You have to see under any circumstances as to whether the institute runs a recognised course, takes care of placements, has a good faculty and insfrastructure, and focuses upon practical work experience (VERY ESSENTIAL!).
There are good institutes like JRE in Noida / Delhi which are reputed, recognised as well as run good courses like the PGDM or MBA. They're worth the wait when it comes to Management education.

I think I am a bit late in joining the discussion but after reading expert comments from other counsellors I realized all the details and recommendations are already mentioned before choosing any college or university across India. Only will like to highlight the most important thing which I feel according to me that a student can select any course in any institute across India but that course and the institute should be recognized by AICTE, UGC , MHRD, DEC and all the governing bodies which are there in the field of education in India as student after completing the course in 4 or 5 years should not end up suffering just because the c

choosing 'best' institution for MBA and 'best' specialization!!!!! The term 'BEST' is like sky, boundary less. Anyone, for that matter, who is looking for an institution to get into MBA, just check track record of that institution in terms of results, placements, faculty attrition rate, management support, industry interaction, etc. after joining the institution, if you feel that institution is not best according to your expectations, then, don't worry, make your decision best. I mean to say, do best where ever you are.
one more thing to mention here is, in present scenario, mere MBA is not useful. MBA without a VAS (value added skills

There are close to 2000 B Schools in India. It is practically impossible to identify institutes with respect to your core specialization. I always tell MBA aspirants to follow a very simple mantra. Never compromise on the quality of the B School. You have to get into the top 50 B Schools in India for your degree to be valued by the corporate world. You need to look from their perspective because they are the people who will decide the course of your career. Drawing from my experience as a trainer for CAT \ MAT \ GMAT \ GRE \ IELTS for over 20 years, I always see lot of MBA aspirants coming with a defeated mindset, that clearing CAT wit

I too agree, people have such wrong assumption that after pursuing MBA he/she will earn loads of money. But, they forget that attaining that height and money requires a lot of hard work, determination, interest and personal attributes as well. And on top of the all, no institute can guarantee you on the placements. Performing well during the interview phase and cracking it is the utmost important aspect.
Also, there are certain aspects which cannot be left aside while choosing the best institute like the recognition, faculty, placements, fees, etc. So, one should avoid haste decisions and contact the institutes and current students per

Hi, Friends I even agree to some extent, But one of the most important thing which one should focus is corporate visit in a particular college, the corporates do nt go n visit a particular college very easily, they have their norms & are very professional. So if corporates are visiting the college, it showcases a green signal.

First of all I agree to all expert views,
Yes, it is a matter of confusion when it comes to selection of a better institute,
Now a days many institutes use advertising as a tool to promote the institute,
We cannot say it as wrong but when a student takes admission in any particular institute and after finishing the course he/she finds that they are eligible for government or any particular job because the institute is not accelerated by UGC/AICTE etc.
Unless and until, till joining the institute one can't predict its quality but choosing a proper institute on the basis of ACCELERATION, INFRASTRUCTURE & PLACEMENTS which is very important.

Choosing the right institute is India means to get into top most college based on rankings. Other factors come in handy. For example, if one chooses IIMA, he gets good placements, good industry exposure, good faculty, good infrastructure facilities, good recognition etc. And this is true for all colleges ranked within top 20 in India.
When one wants to go for specialized MBA, the right choice doesnt go beyond these top 20. Only the choice order changes.
For example, if one wants to go for MBA in HR - XLRI and MDI will be his top priority, for IT and systems - IIM Calcutta offers PGDCM, for Operations - NITIE and SJMSOM are the best, for M

    Hi,
first of all, there is mushrooming of B school in entire India and it has become a fast money making business for everybody. Out of the entire institutes, hardly 40 amongst them are worth to be chosen for future career. Most of them have big advertisement but the reality is worst (The best example is IIPM who is one of the largest advertisement for timesof india and https://Shiksha.com)
    Well, I suggest following thing
First of all, for institutes in India, go through B school survey of reputed newspaper like business today and others and for abroad, should go through the ranking of FT and times etc.
Second, never choose the institute b

Well as per me. One should be skeptical while choosing the right B-School as a lot would depend on it! Few factors one should keep in mind while choosing a B-School are:
    Course Curriculum
    Infrastructure
    Faculty
    Placement assistance
    etc.
