CLAT 2024 should be conducted in regional languages like other law exams; i.e. AIBE. If CLAT is conducted in regional languages then it will help aspirants from many states to appear and pursue career in law.

According to me, CLAT 2024 should be conducted in regional languages. A lot of debate is going around the issue of CLAT exam leading to "discrimination" and not providing a "level playing field" to the candidates. Keeping only 'English' as a language for appearing in exam shuns down the scope for candiates who are well-versed in other vernacular/regional languages. With India being a secular land, linguistic diversity should be welcomed for candidates willing to appear for CLAT entrance exam in other regional languages as well.

Advocating for the incorporation of regional languages into the CLAT 2024 examination framework emerges as a profound proposition, one that resonates with a harmonious blend of perplexity and burstiness in the discourse of educational equity. In this transformative paradigm, the very essence of equal opportunity is summoned into the limelight, transcending the bounds of mother tongue, and bestowing aspiring legal luminaries with an unobstructed avenue to compete.

At present, the CLAT, ensconced within the confines of English exclusivity, acts as an insurmountable chasm for students whose linguistic acumen may not be proficient in

Yes, CLAT in other languages will open up opportunities for candidates whose education is rooted in regional languages. These candidates could then pursue their career in law. Other law-related exam such as All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is conducted in 23 languages including Hindi, English and regional languages.

  • Yes. This will help students of remote areas to compete and score well in the exam. These students fare good on other fronts except language. If they will be given choice to write in regional language, it will be level palying field for them as well.

Yes, CLAT should be conducted in the regional languages. Since the top entrances like NEET, JEE Main, CUET, etc. are conducted in regional languages along with English, Law aspirants across states and regions should get an equal opportunity. Not every student is well versed in English, but he/she might have a strong legal aptitude which is required to be a good lawyer. Moreover, this will also diversify the candidate pool and help the society get a higher number of lawyers. Hence, I feel that CLAT should be conducted in regional languages as well, to benefit students who have studied in vernacular mediums.
