  • B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Bachelor of Computer Applications BCA are both undergraduate courses that offer a foundation in computer Science. However, there are some key differences between the two programs. *B.Tech in CSE* is a four-year engineering degree that focuses on the theoretical and technical aspects of computer Science. The curriculum includes courses on programming languages, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and computer networks. B.Tech in CSE graduates are typically qualified to work as software engineers, system engineers, and database administrators. *BCA* is a three-year undergra

There are basically two path to acquire knowledge in the area of computer Science after 10+2 / Intermediate and become employable
    Either you can do B.Sc. (Computer Science) / Bachelor of Computer Application (B. C. A. ) then Master of Computer Applications (M. C. A. ) / Master of Computer Science (M.Sc. )
    or
You can do Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and then Master of Technology (M.Tech)
For Job perspective, Industries prefer B.Tech students over B.Sc. or B. C. A. , if you have done B.Sc. (H) in computer Science then it is more employable than B. C. A. If you want further study like PhD then in general master degree (M. C. A. /M.Tech. )

BCA saves one year as the syllabus for BCA is more or less the same as B.Tech. The difference is only in the 1st year where B.Tech does engineering sciences- mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc. The companies who recruit B.Tech candidates are the same that recruits BCA candidates. The choice of BCA and MCA or B.Tech depends on the background (commerce, arts or science) and satisfaction of eligibility conditions by a student.
BCA can be done by science, commerce as well as arts (maths) background students whereas B.Tech can be opted by only science background students. Top universities that offer B.Tech and BCA are:

B.Tech is a 4-year course and BCA is a 3-year course. The difference is in B.Tech the syllabus is more professional and more comprehensive then BCA.
You will learn a lot in B.Tech instead of BCA.
I want you to prefer B.Tech over BCA

BCA gives a student with a solid platform to further his career in the field of technology but it is strongly recommended that a student should opt for MCA to further his prospects in this competitive world. BCA is a good course but it is simply a Bachelors level degree and not much importance is given by both private and government organizations especially when compared to a B.Tech course.
IT and Computer Engineers who have completed their B.Tech program are not only in great demand in IT industries but inspectors like banks, airlines, and manufacturing industry. India is the main outsourcing hub for international projects from the US

    Tarun,
The difference between BCA and B.Tech:

B.Tech is a Four Year degree programme that deals with Computer engineering, electronics and communication engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, Digital and analogue electronics, programming, computer networks, database management systems, computer systems organisation.
B.Tech is a better option as it is a professional degree/ course where as BCA is not professional but it is a simple degree.
