I know that neuropsychologists evaluate and administer tests but do they actively treat patients, diagnose and work with people in order to help them? Do they see different cases and are they involved with their patients?

    Yes, neuropsychologists SEE patients and they can also deal with people suffering from various neurological conditions. Neuropsychologists are trained to assess and diagnose brain-behavior relationships in patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and others. They also work with individuals who have developmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, to evaluate cognitive and behavioral functioning.
