GRE is not required for all courses. However, it is required for Management courses. To be admitted to University at Buffalo, it is recommended to have a strong academic profile, including competitive scores in the IELTS, TOEFL and GMAT or GREs. However, the admission process at UB takes a holistic approach, considering multiple factors in the student's profile. These factors include Leadership, Work experience, essays, LOR and interviews that the is students give during their admission process.

A minimum GMAT score of 740+ and two years of work experience are necessary for admission to business school. In alternative of the GMAT, a GRE score of 152 in the mathematics section might be accepted. Graduate engineering schools, on the other hand, may require a GRE score of 311 in addition to appropriate experience.
