CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too. The course provides instil knowledge in the major areas of Computer Science and Engineering such as Artificial Intelligence, Networking, Databases, Data Analytics, Web Development and Cloud Computing. The student will be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or

The placements are almost same in both, though LPU has more number of quality companies visiting in LPU. Also, the high crowd at LPU might be the reason for that, but still you get many options to chose from. Also, LPU supports off-campus placements and allow you to join internship trainings (and if you are good at that, they sponsor you). So, from the placements and industrial point of view, LPU is better.
  • Scholarships, placements, exposure to industry, international internships and placements efficient and knowledgeable faculty, flexible curriculum and teaching pedagogies, infrastructure, and diverse culture makes LPU unmatchable. Some of the companies where LPU students are working: Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Amazon, CTS, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Aon, IBM, ITC Infotech, MAQ Software, Josh Technologies, Morgan Stanley, Schneider Electric, Direct, Sopra Steria, Tavant, Wipro, L&T Technologies, Dell, Ericsson, Samsung, Bosch, CSS Corp, Kony India, KPIT Technologies, KPMG, Synopsys etc. Apart of placement o

If you really want to get in a college then please for gods sake ask about the teaching quality. You know, you are shown data like 610 placements from Cognizant and other companies, but do you know how many engineering students are there in CSE branch? How many are in ECE branch? If you combine the branches which are eligible for a particular type of company and then see the number 610, you would think of changing your mind. Now I will tell you how the placement percentage may fool you. (This was told by a teacher from LPU itself).
There are more than 10000 engineering student. Now you look at that 610. Some may even not get their call

Hi there,

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .

I hope this helps,

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are known for engineering, but if we think of Electrical Engineering, LPU appears better in many ways. As a student, I personally feel that LPU has a very practical approach to learning. Their labs are state of the art, and well-resourced, and I find that the faculty usually support us to work on real-time projects, which build confidence to take on challenges in industry. The university brings many industry professionals for guest lecturers, and have affiliations with top companies in the world, so this gives students a greater opportunity for internships and pla

Dear reader,

Taking admission at LPU is a great choice. LPUNEST is their own entrance and scholarship exam.

The candidate's merit rank on the test and the courses and specializations they selected during the online preference submission are the main factors used to assign seats for LPU NEST counseling.  The availability of seats in the selected programs is another factor that affects allocation.

For more information kindly contact their concerned department.

I hope this information helps.
