    The LPU university provides admission in M.A. Journalism & Mass Communication through online proctored examination from home. Aspirants seeking admission to the course must have passed with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor's Degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. Some of the specialisations in Journalism & Media include Broadcast Journalism, Digital Journalism, Enterprise Journalism, Political Journalism, Journalism Design and Graphics, Science and Environmental Journalism, and Public Relations and Advertising.

    LPU is best for pursuing B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication) and also M.A. The programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic, and New Age Media.     LPU do stresses over practical knowledge. The journalism and film production department is no exception. Practical and theoretical knowledge is delivered to the students in the class. LPU's Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET/PET) is in fact not an hour-long session with a fixed time allotment; rather, it is a combination of physical tasks conducted in succession sprinting for 50m, broad jump, overhead medicine ball throw (3 kg for men and 2 kg for women), and finally 1000m of run/walk. The time taken in doing the complete tasks varies with the fitness of the candidate, commonly taking from 20 to 45 minutes for a session. The candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts.
