Does LPU offer NCC? I want to know?

LPU does offer NCC. The University has a SD/SW unit of N. C. (Army Wing and Air Wing) under Community Service Cell, Division of Student Welfare-LPU. The students of any stream (Other than 1 year course or final Year Students) have the option to enroll in NCC after clearing the Common Entrance Test and interview conducted by Community Service Cell, Division of Student Welfare-LPU. Selection of the NCC Volunteer (Offline Mode) The recruitment process for the enrolment of new cadets to Senior Division or Senior Wing will consists of the following steps: Registration Process (Through UMS) Written Examination Physical TestPersonal Interview Selection of the NCC Volunteer (Online Mode) The recruitment process for the enrolment of new cadets to Senior Division or Senior Wing will consists of the following steps: Registration Process (Through UMS)Online ExaminationLiteracy Assessment Physical Efficiency Test (online through Video Submission). .

LPU provides an opportunity for the students to join NCC even NSS_ too. At LPU there ate two wings. NCC Army Wing NCC Airwing "A - Flight Family" Student can join NCC in the interesting wing. Moreover after joining NCC student can also prepare for the UPSC CDSE Exam. While special classes are also given to the student who has an interest in joining Indian armed forces after completing graduation. Lovely Professional University hosted ten-day annual NCC campus of 2nd Punjab Girls NCC Battalion at its campus. Near 440 NCC cadets, from different colleges and schools of the Doaba region attended the camp. NCC cadets from 8th, 12th and 21st NCC battalions were also included in this camp. Organized from 3rd to 12th August, the camp inculcated among cadets the importance of duty and discipline. NCC cadets were imparted training in handling weapons, drill, signals, map reading, first aid, national integration, civil defence, ecology, leadership and more. Cultural and seminar activities were also held at two much capacity auditoriums of LPU on different days. Well, from previous year LPU student who enrolled them self into NCC were selected for the Delhi Republic Day Parade. Where they got a lot of exposure at national level camps. Moreover, students who attended National level camps like RDC were also honoured by the chancellor of the University with cash prizes. Even in group camps were organized at LPU.

Hi, there I am an alumni of LPU. Yes, you can join NCC at LPU the have DSA division of student affairs. Which takes care of every extracurricular activity for their students. Yes LPU does offer NCC and they do have NSS. Students are free to join any group game or organisation in DSA. On the first day of joining LPU, they provide Freshmen Induction then they will give this all information and any student can join any of the group. Or their only they can join NCC also.

LPU believes the NCC, which is one of the premier youth organizations in our country, contributed to propagating national unity and integrity amongst youth. It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades role in instilling in them the values of character, discipline, and hard work and in shaping them into dynamic and responsible citizens of the country had been well recognised. It will permit students enrolled as NCC cadets to receive academic credits for NCC training, and avail employment incentives offered under various central and state government schemes. Students can join NCC in the interesting wing. Additionally, after joining NCC students can also pursue the UPSC CDSE Exam. However, special classes are also given to the student who has an interest in joining the Indian armed forces after completing graduation.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) in India is a voluntary organisation which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. Total Seats in NCC 1. 210 Army Wing Seats (Male/Female) under 8Pb NCC Bn, Phagwara 2. 55 Army Wing Seats (Female) under 2PB NCC (Girls) Bn, Jalandhar 3. 10 Airwing Seats (Male/Female) under 1 Air Squadron, Jalandhar The recruitment process for the enrolment of new cadets to Senior Division or Wing will consists of the following steps:Registration Process (Through UMS), Written Examination, Physical Test, Personal Interview. Qualification 1. NSS Volunteer should not be appointed as NCC Cadet. 2. A student who is under disciplinary probation cannot be a NCC Cadet. 3. Final year Student is not eligible for the post of NCC Cadet. 4. A Student who has high level of, motivation, inclination and aptitude for community work. Even LPU hosted ten-day Annual Training Camp of NCC In order to impart collective training to all NCC cadets of its battalion, the 8 Punjab battalion is conducting ten-day annual training camp (ATC) at Lovely Professional University campus. More than 500 Senior-Junior Division (SD/JD) & Senior-Junior Wing (SW/JW) NCC cadets from 28 schools and colleges are attending the training camp. Visualizing the mammoth design of the camp, the battalion preferred LPU for its vast infrastructure and support to have high-end conduction of the camp. Under the training, NCC cadets are presently going through various physical and mental exercises. The training is mainly for different soldier-skills including hard drill, marching, map reading, rifle operating, setting-up ambush, emergency duties. In addition, cadets are being prepared to be good citizens through social activities of awareness and awakening, including blood donation, national integration, rural- development projects like MNREGA, environment protection and many more.
