Does LPU offers B.Tech in agricultural engineering?

Hi there, LPU does not offer B.Tech Agriculture rather offers Agriculture course as B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture. As, this specialisation is mostly preferred as same. Choosing LPU for Agriculture is definitely the best option. LPU provides all the necessary resources which helps the students to excel in their field. Agriculture is one of the most booming course these days, LPU is the first university to get the ICAR accreditation for agriculture courses. This is the main reason why students are preferring LPU over other universities. There are various major points I would like to quote about LPU for agriculture: 1. Lovely professional University School of Agriculture is among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. It lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped Laboratories, Library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. LPU is First private University in India which is apprived by ICAR. I did MBA from LPU, During my post graduation years I had few friends from agriculture department, Sometimes I used to visit fields, Labs with them they also discussed about placements, academic, placements etc. So I have Idea about this course. Few Points I am sharing which will help you to know more about B.Sc. (Hons)Agriculture course:- Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. LPU lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture students done research on Project On Floating Island-The project involves the introduction of floating islands for water management and improving sanitation and regulation of water quality & restoration of the water table with the help of biological agents. Students hitherto organic yields of Spinach, Cauliflowers, Cabbage, Turnip, Radish, Carrots have been well accepted by local consumers at University, who have liked these for quality, taste, appearance and appeal. They have also produced organic wheat. Students have started working on the production of Baby-Corn, Parsley (Kind of Coriander), Lettuce (Green Leaves), Dill (A Fragrance), Lemon Grass and other. They have also worked for growing and marketing of all types of summer vegetables. In addition, they are learning Green House (Poly House) production, Tissue culture, Collection of Plasma, usage of natural resources & compost, floriculture, and above all entrepreneurship value for a valuable growth on even a small piece of land.

Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. Hi, LPU does offer B.Sc. Hons Agriculture but not the B.Tech degree in agriculture. This course is ICAR accredited, due to ICAR accreditation large numbers of companies are visiting the campus. Agriculture deals with well planned on-field implementation and testing of basic concepts in production, yield enhancement disease resistant and better shelf life of food and flora. Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country or option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for a semester as decided by the University subject to conditions. The programme outcomes include Knowledge Enhancement, Professional Enhancement, Entrepreneurship Skills, Communication &amp; Extension Skills, Team Work, Educational Leadership, Data Handling, Ethics and Computational Skills. No, LPU does not provide B.Tech Agriculture. Yet LPU provides B.Sc. Agriculture is the strongest programme at LPU because it is accredited by ICAR. Placements: Top recruiting companies are Tata, Rallis India Limited, Syngenta, and Reliance Stores. All batch members got a decent number of internship opportunities. Almost 50% of the aspirants get the opportunity to do internships in companies like EduCase, Intello Labs Pvt Ltd, and Syngenta. The top roles offered in the course are sales trainee officer and field officer. Infrastructure: Our university has one of the best infrastructures. There are smart classrooms, labs with advanced equipment, Wi-Fi, a library, agriculture fields, and greenhouses. The quality of hostel facilities is great, and the quality of food provided in the mess, canteen and stalls are also good. Our university provided good insights into extracurricular activities such as games, sports, dance, and athletics. Students also get good medical facilities with punctual timing of ambulance installations. Faculty: Teaching quality is promising. Students get highly qualified faculty members. They teach them deep insights into the course with theoretical and practical knowledge. They are always helpful in needy situations related to academics as well as personal. They are knowledgeable.
