Mississippi College offers academic scholarships to international students on all levels of studies; undergraduate & graduate. More details regarding these scholarships:
Scholarships for Undergraduate Students:
All qualifying international undergraduate students are provided $2,000 in financial aid each semester for their first two semesters of academic study as long as the students maintain a 2.5 GPA or above. To reward academic excellence, the Office of Global Education will add $1,000 to the financial aid of students who obtain a 4.0 GPA (or straight A’s) in their first semester.
Note:
Financial aid for undergraduate students is only provided for the first two academic semesters. Once students have completed their first two semesters of academic study, they must apply for the merit-based scholarship offered through the Office of Global Education.
Scholarships for Graduate Students:
All qualifying international graduate students are provided $1,500 in financial aid each semester as long as they maintain a 3.0 GPA or above. As with undergraduate students, graduate students who obtain a 4.0 GPA (or straight A’s) in one semester will have their financial aid increase an additional $500 for the following semester. This consideration is made each semester and only applies to semesters following a semester where the graduate student made all A’s.
Merit-based Scholarships:
The OGE Merit-Based scholarship is available for international students who are classified as sophomores, juniors, or seniors in their undergraduate academic programme at Mississippi College after they have completed their first two semesters of academic study. Students who have a full scholarship from Mississippi Colleg or are Government Sponsored are not qualified for Merit Scholarships. Qualified applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher in the previous semester, and students must have at least one volunteer event to report on the application. Applications are accepted through the Office of Global Education only. Scholarships are given based on evaluation of GPA, documented volunteer involvement and leadership activities, and a personal essay. Scholarship awards are upto $6,000 per academic year. Evaluation will be made by the International Student Scholarship Committee.
