    Hello,No, the software testing is not a good career for the one who has done his graduation in Electronics and communication engineering. To learn Software Testing, you should learn the programming, coding, HTML, computer languages etc. And, just think of that if you are entering in IT field, then what is the point to do B.Tech in ECE? So, I don't suggest you to go for Software Testing. I would recommend you to go for any core electrical job in any electrical company like Reliance Electrical, Synergy, etc. Here, you cannot just apply your theoretical knowledge, but also you can explore the further path in which you have to move on.     ECE have scope in India.
    Because, we are the fastest growing cellular users.
    And, our country has lot of carrier options (like BSNL, Airtel etc.).
    Now, coming to the reality, I am an ECE graduate from a reputed university. My chances to go into ECE core was very less. There were only 2-3 companies that visited our campus (ECE core companies), the remaining were all IT sector giants.
    So, for ECE students there is a chance to either go into the core or get into the IT industry.
    If you really want to get into the core, you have to have in-depth knowledge about your study.

    Testing is a major component of software development lifecycle. The major role of a Software Testing executive is to test software developed by software engineers/ developer and reporting its defects so that bug-free software systems can be developed. Major responsibilities of testing executives are as follows:
    (a) Understand software Development requirements to test software applications or systems.
    (b) Understand Test Plan
    (c) Create Test case and test data
    (d) Create test scripts in case of automation testing. Sometime testers may create test bed.
