Does the syllabus of CFA changes in every next attempt? Can a person manage CFA level 1 during 1st or 2nd year of MBA?

Hi, CFA Level I is very easy course content wise, especially if you are also studying for an MBA in Finance concentration. However, the amount of content one needs to go through (and at times learn from scratch) can be overwhelming. It becomes even worse at Level II. So it really depends from person to person how difficult it can be. Managing both your degree and studying on the side for the CFA Exam would eat up most of your time. Time management is essential, and one can only do it if they are committed to seeing through the CFA exams. However, I am certain that studying for the CFA (and taking the L-I and perhaps L-II exam) while in university would be a lot easier compared to if you start working in an organisation. Once regular work sets in, time becomes a luxury and then the CFA exams will require even more determination in that case.

I would say go for it if you believe it will be helpful in the future or if it would complement your long-term professional goals. Being in university is perhaps the best time to clear a level or two. I cleared all three levels consecutively after graduating and beginning my career. I know now that it would have been much simpler had I started early.
