For B.Tech in agricultural engineering LPU is a better option or PAU (Punjab agricultural university) in terms of placements?

At LPU you will get the best exposures in terms of workshops, guest lectures and other visits which will help you to understand and develop your knowledge with industrial experts and implement them with your expertise. Placements are always there for all placable students. It always depends upon your performance. Dear Mitali, Every university is doing good for its students. So it is difficult to say which one is best. But yes, there are certain parameters to compare to select the best. LPU has ICAR accreditation for his agriculture courses. No other private university has this accreditation. Let me clear first what is the meaning of ICAR. ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) is an accreditation from the Central ministry of India related to study of agriculture which is given to those universities who are the best for this field means, if a university have all the resources in terms of labs, fields, well qualified and experienced staff and faculty, hi Tech labs, research background etc. Then this affiliation is given to only that university. It is very difficult for a university to meet the standards of ICAR. LPU is the first private university to be granted The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) accreditation by Ministry of Agriculture due to their excellency in the study of agriculture. Doing any course related to agriculture from ICAR accredited means you have all the skills and you are aware of all the tools and methods required for agriculture. This will help you for your career in private and government sector. So, dear student this the importance of ICAR. LPU meets the standard of ICAR. I more important information I want to share with you that due to COVID-19, admission process is online. Before LPU NEST you have to proceed for admission process before 30 June,2020.

LPU does not offer B.Tech agricultural engineering but BSC Hons agriculture.LPU Becomes the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation.The eligibility criteria for BSC Hons Agriculture includes 60% in 10+2/Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Forestry + LPUNEST or 60% in 10+2/Intermediate 10+2 (Agriculture) + LPUNEST OR 60% in 2 year Diploma(Agriculture) after 10th + LPUNEST Age Condition :- Minimum 16 Years (i.e. born on or before last date of admission) . In addition to the regular course work, especially designed practical courses like Hands on training, Practical crop production, Rural and Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, Crop And Seed Identification Laboratory, Soil And Water Sampling And Analysis, Soil Description And Interpretation Discipline Highlights: Agriculture aboratory, Organic And Chemical Fertilizer, Manure Identification And Application Laboratory, Introductory Nematology, Disease Of Horticultural Crops And Their Management, Practical Floriculture And Vegetable Crop Production Laboratory, Bio-Safety Rules And Intellectual Property Rights are offered to promote practical implication of various courses which train students for industry. Dear Mitali, Both LPU and PAU are good private and public universities respectively. Coming to the agriculture programme, LPU does not offer an agriculture programme in engineering but they offer B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture. LPU is the first private university that got approval from ICAR. (I). The school of Agriculture was approved for accreditation for a period of five years with a GPAC of 3.42 (ii) The following degree programs were approved for accreditation for a period of five years B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture with GPAP of 3.72 M.Sc. Agriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science)} with GPAP of 3.75 M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy) with GPAP of 3.60 M.Sc. Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding) with GPAP of 3.60 Placement: Students of the School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Sanra organics, and many more. The maximum package offered for B.Sc. In Agri. At LPU is 19.25 LPA and the average package is 3.4 LPA.
