No Chintan, frankly speaking corporates do not consider MBA from distance eduction program totally equivalent to that done through a regular course. But the big point here the experience part. If you are a fresh candidate without adequate experience at the shop floor then MBA through distance education mode would be termed lesser than that done through regular course. However, if you have say 5 to 10 years experience or more including managerial or senior supervisory level experience then the value of the MBA through distance education mode increases and comes closer to the value of the course done through regular MBA. The value of MBA through distance education also increase with the reputation of the institution from which you do the course. Lastly it would also depend upon how best you convert your Management knowledge in job into practical utility for the organization you work for. If you can convince your employer about the same in the interview then it would not matter much if you completed your MBA through distance education mode. But again as the cycle moves around in a circle, this facet would largely depend upon your work experience (more emphasis on quality of experience and not so much on the number of years).

Hi Chintan, In most of the cases, preference is given to the regular MBA pass outs when compared to the Distance MBA, but getting good career opportunity shall also depend on your capabilities and knowledge. Yet it is advised to go for a regular study than through distance because the former carries more quality and market value when compared to distance mode of education. All the Best!

dear friend MBA degree is niether a academic nor professional in fact it is personality enhanching programme .It is confidance building exercise .some are born with the mangement skills and some acuire from the family and some to imbibe by training.mangement teaching is new concept in the world it is for those who need to be impowered.now distance education has been provided to those people who can not afford to pay huge amount of money as fees or they are not allowed by their parents to go regular course or they have to work after thier graduation to increse thier knowledge ,competancies and finally skills.now the crux of the acceptnace of degree acquired through any means solely depends upon the potential of deliverance in the desired role.The campus placement by the companies is only a marketing strategy of these institute otherwise now it is commented by some body tha educated seems uneducated and uneducated seems as educated this is the state of affair of degrees donned by the mangement graduate we need dynamic and creative people which may be there with distance education so corporates will accept those who have innovation and creative so donot go for equivalentcy but supermacy all the best horn good skills. Direct MBA has its own value compare to distance.If you are already in job ,you want some promotion in your job means distance is ok ,otherwise direct is having more value.

REGULAR always preferable, In unavoidable situations u can go for Distance.After all it is there in the hands one who holds MBA certificate but not in the "CERTIFICATE" itself. Gudluck

Yes MBA weather through distance or regular mode both are same but Regular one is more valueable then Distance one. However, for working executives or professionalls with at least 2 years of experiance distance is not a matter at all, but it should be from a goof institute.
